About Arcata House Partnership

Arcata House Partnership (AHP) is a local area nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families in Humboldt County who face homelessness and food insecurity. Our mission is to provide services to the homeless and food insecure with compassion, dignity, and empowerment.

Since 1991, we’ve been here to provide the essentials that people need to regain stability. As the only organization in the County offering a full range of support, we provide food, shelter, outreach, assistance, and case management. With compassion and respect, we connect each person to the resources they need, supporting them on their path to safety and dignity.

“A wonderful mission and the people you work with really have their heart in it. You frequently meet new people within the team, the community and develop relationships with a better understanding of this college town and surrounding Humboldt County. I've been able to help supply food to an elderly man with a stroke, people escaping domestic abuse and traveling Spanish and French coming to California. Working in a non-profit helping feed people is an enriching experience that has made me more understanding and open minded to people of all situations and backgrounds.”
