What I liked

I really enjoyed the culture and the network of support that they provided. I was able to learn a lot about the company as many people were willing to talk with me.

What I wish was different

I was lucky to work on some very interesting work but I wish that it was slightly more up my alley. It did provide me with a great opportunity to learn some new skills though.

Advice

Be yourself in the internship experience, that is the best way to make solid connections with other analysts.

Product Zone Specialist at Apple

August 2019 • Edison, NJ

What I liked

Yes, Apple is one of the best places to work, especially for students who want some professional working experience in sales, marketing, operation management. It even provides 401k, health insurance, and stock plans for all the employees no matter you are full-timer or part-timer.

What I wish was different

The overall experience is excellent. I do not have anything to dislike.

Advice

Throughout the experience at Apple, I noticed that communication played an important in the workplace. It does not matter whether you are communicating with clients to provide purchase advice or communicating with your management. Effective communication will definitely make things go on smoother.

Mac Product Design Intern

May - August 2018 • Cupertino, CA

What I liked

I loved the kind of work I was doing and my team. They were very helpful in getting me up to speed in my work and answering questions I had. I also loved working with my manager to address various challenges that came up in my line of work. I loved the culture at Apple; it was a culture of respect, collaboration, friendliness, excellence. Also, I loved working in an environment full of smart people and being constantly challenged to become better. I loved meeting new people, full times and interns alike at Apple and having lunch with them. I loved the excellent pay and all the benefits that come with being an Apple employee.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been more efficient in my work and I had not spent so much time at the office (I did a lot of overtime) I wish I had set goals for what I wanted to achieve during my internship and upheld those goals. I wish I had finished the projects given to me. I wish I had invested time in exploring the city and making meaningful friendships. I wish I had been better in my communication with my manager about different tasks.

Advice

- ensure you invest time in getting to know your manager, your team, making meaningful friendships and enjoying your summer doing what you love not just working all the time.

What I liked

I really enjoyed the comfort of working from home as well as the flexibility with my school schedule.

What I wish was different

I do wish I had the ability to choose the shift on Saturday.

Advice

One advice I would give is to take advantage of rotations and summer career experience.
