SPRING: Remote Marketing Internship with Ecotourism Business

This virtual marketing internship serves an ecotourism experience/trekking business in Central Asia. Be a part of a business that helps individuals get off the beaten path where few foreigners have ever roamed and where Jesus is not known. You would play a role in raising the profile of this business through social media marketing, crafting blog posts that inspire, and developing collaborations that make an impact.

This faith-driven business offers unique ecotourism experiences that are off the beaten track on the Tibetan Plateau that benefit the local communities! Our tours and treks are culturally immersive and full of wonder and life and focus on small group sizes and authentic experiences.

• Social media marketing

• Posting regularly on Instagram and LinkedIn

• Building the businesses YouTube following

• Contacting social media influencers for collaboration

• Contacting brands and outdoor gear companies for collaboration

• Writing adventure travel content for blog posts once per week

• Excellent communication skills

• Marketing experience

• Business experience

• Marketing or business-related studies in progress

• Interest in travel, especially in adventure travel in the outdoors

• All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship

• A stipend will be paid upon successful completion of the internship

• Pre-Field training happens through online materials and Zoom sessions with coaches and other interns in the week leading up to the start date. Includes debriefing with coaches upon completion of internship

• Duration of internships are flexible, and should be worked out with the team

• Internship is available in Fall, Spring or Summer

• B.S. in Environmental Science

• 20+ years of experience traveling and trekking in wild/remote environments

• Owner and Lead Guide of this ecotourism business

• Degree Credit available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors
