Job Training Program Associate

Employment Dates: June 22, 2026 – August 20, 2026 (Summer-only position)

Location: 519 8th Avenue, 24th Floor New York, NY 10018

Salary: $20/Hour | 32-35 Hours Weekly

Reports to: Senior Program Manager / Director of Youth Development

Position Summary

The Part-Time Job Training Program Associate will support the implementation of the Summer Job Training Program by facilitating curriculum, leading a cohort of participants, and supporting overall program operations. This role plays a key part in creating an engaging, structured, and supportive learning environment for youth. This position follows a Monday through Thursday schedule, offering a consistent extended weekend throughout the duration of employment. 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a cohort leader, facilitating job training workshops using Fiver’s established curriculum
  • Deliver engaging sessions focused on career readiness and professional skill development
  • Build positive relationships with youth participants and support their growth throughout the program
  • Track attendance, participation, and key program outcomes
  • Support preparation of workshop materials (presentations, handouts, activities)
  • Assist with coordination of guest speakers, career panels, and workplace visits
  • Maintain a structured and inclusive environment that supports all participants
  • Follow and implement curriculum as designed, with guidance from the Program Team
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth daily program operations

Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable engaging with youth and families
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across program areas
  • Reliable, professional, and collaborative

Additional Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Subject to background check
  • Required to complete Mandated Reporter Training

Estimated Hiring Timeline

  • April 24 - May 1 : Resume & Cover Letter Review

  • May 18 - 27: In-person interviews 
  • June 1 - June 12: Reference checks, position offer, and background check 
  • June 22: Start Date
