Beautiful guest ranch just outside the east gate of Zion National Park, on site Farm to Table restaurant, two green houses and three acres of gardens. Come join the team at Zion Mountain Ranch and experience all that beautiful Southern Utah has to offer.
We are looking for experienced farmers and gardeners to come work on our farm using sustainable agriculture practices, producing fresh vegetables, flowers, fruit, herbs and more, for our on site restaurant. Housing is provided with a monthly stipend. If you are passionate about growing, sharing and eating nourishing, organically produced food, come share your passion in our garden and in our restaurant. Opportunities to make extra money working part time as a server in our restaurant selling the food you grow. Experience not required in the restaurant industry. What is required is a willingness to learn, a strong passion for delicious, fresh food and an understanding of the beauty that is farm to table.
Our farm is located at approx 6,200 ft elevation in the high desert of southern Utah. We are looking to hire persons who have a rock solid work ethic, able and willing to perform manual labor, with a strong love for working outdoors. Individuals must be strong, physically fit, able to lift and carry heavy loads, excited to pull weeds (yep), wield a shovel, drive a tractor, work in rain or sunshine but truly, we just really hope you are as nerdy about plants as we are!
Please note, our ranch is approx a 30 min drive in either direction from the nearest town. A vehicle for transport is recommended, if not a bicycle is HIGHLY recommended and bicyclist/gardener/farmer enthusiasts strongly urged to apply. Ride your bike a stunning 13 miles through the canyon of Zion National Park to the small town of Springdale for pizza, ice cream a cold brew, and live music…OR, bring your rock climbing gear and travel just a few miles down the road for some of the most epic rock climbing. However, above all, we invite you to bring your mad gardening skills to the table!
Our growing season is from June – Oct, with the use of our two beautiful greenhouses as season extenders for crops through the winter. Ideally, we would like to bring one person on this fall to help with garden clean up, bed prep, cover crop planting and general garden and greenhouse maintenance to get ready for spring, with additional positions opening in May.
