The supervisors always had my back. If I needed help in or out of the classroom, they were always available to help me navigate my new position and environment.
What I wish was different
Next summer, I would like to see more support given during lunch breaks so that one teacher is rarely alone with a class. As a new counselor, this was often when I needed help.
Advice
Come prepared to grow. I developed a lot of assertiveness as I worked with the students and also developed some quick-thinking skills while problem-solving and supervising in the classroom.

What I liked
I enjoyed working with young children and actually realizing how impactful my personal knowledge was. I had never worked with younger children before and therefore took my childhood experiences and adult ones for granted. It was always interesting too see they're shocked faces when I would tell the little facts and lessons that I have learned.
