I enjoy going home in the summer to work with people I know from my hometown and high-school. My manager/bosses are all very nice people and I would consider some family friends.
What I wish was different
My hours aren't the best. Because I do food preparation work and we open at 7am, I have to be there at 6am to get the food out on display. I get out at 2pm which is awesome because I basically have the rest of my day to do whatever I wanted. The only bad thing was most of the time I would go straight home and take a very long nap, which started to make me feel very unproductive and kind of ruined my sleeping schedule. I never really wanted to hang out with my friends because I was so tired and usually had to be up around 5am the next morning.
Advice
Find a job you want to go to every morning, you love doing, and motivates you. For example, I am not a morning person, but I really liked my co-workers and what I was doing so it motivated me to get up earlier and go to work.
