One of the main things that I liked was the challenge that the internship gave me. Throughout the entirety of my employment with Y.E.A.A. I experiences a ton of challenges that mad me a better business man, leader, and overall a better person. I also enjoyed the people that were apart of this internship. From the CEO all the way down to my fellow branch managers, it was awesome to meet and network with fellow college students from around the country. The culture of this company was also great to be apart of.
What I wish was different
I wish that COVID wasn't going on during my internship. I say this because COVID was a challenge I had to overcome in order for me to make a good amount of revenue and profit. I truly believe if COVID wasn't around, I would have been more successful than I am now.

I would say that if you take this internship on make sure you are a committed to the goals you set for yourself and understand that this job isn't going to be a walk in the park.

I am grateful to have been given this opportunity and to have this special story to set me apart from the average college student!

What I liked
Even though it was an internship, I was able to freely run a business of my own without anyone giving me restrictions and holding me back. From that potential, I was able to run about freely and running a $155k business. Instead, of sitting around and doing nothing at home due to Covid.
What I wish was different
I have nothing I would want to change for this year.
Advice
Even when it seems impossible to achieve, never let yourself settle for anything less than your goals. In the beginning of the summer, I was at $40k sold. I was thinking I could only be able to settle for $80k in sales by the end of the summer, instead of hitting my original goal of $100k. Yet, I pushed myself to keep on rolling, and I was able to achieve a total in $115k produced and sold. When you put your mind to it, nothing is impossible.

What I liked
I never imagined that I could grow so much in one summer; personally and professionally. I could not have asked for a more beneficial experience. During my first year, I ran an $84k business and profited $15k and has allowed me to purchase my first reliable car and pay rent. With the continual support system that was provided, I was able to persevere through stressful and overwhelming times. The confidence and determination this internship has instilled in me will certainly propel me to a bright future. Next year I plan to come back and mentor others to run a business and help them grow as much as I did.

This internship allowed me to grow immensely as a professional. The ability to run a small business in my hometown has given me the ability to make connections with homeowners in the area as well as lead a team of college students to successfully operate a small business for an entire summer. Working with the the Young Entrepreneurs Across America has been an incredible experience that I would certainly recommend to other college students.

What I liked
I loved the support system I received throughout the internship, and the mentoring was spectacular. I never felt out of place, or lost in my job, despite jumping into a brand new field I had never been in before. I was provided judgment-free guidance at a moment's notice, and especially through my biggest hurdles. There is no such thing as failure if you don't quit, and that mindset rippled through the whole team I was working with. Great coaching.
What I wish was different
I wish I'd known getting started in the position that I would need some startup materials, which wasn't clear to me when I applied. I wouldn't have decided against applying, though. Had I known at the beginning I think I would have been much more prepared and in the long run, a bit more successful going into the summer season.
Advice
Stay motivated in any way you can, and remember your ultimate goal. Remember why you started, and keep the big picture at your fingertips. Imagine yourself succeeding, and you will. Your success rides on your own internal drive, so this is a perfect internship for those truly interested in the entrepreneurial lifestyle/experience.
