What I liked

The kids were awesome! Got to be outside all summer and did some fun trips with the kids, like the water park or museums around the state so it was a fun way to spend the summer.

What I liked

I loved hanging out with the different sessions of 12-year olds I had in the summer. I learned so much from them. They treated me as their big brother and it was so cool. They made me realize so much about myself that I never knew. Such a nice and friendly atmosphere the whole time, it made me flip my life upside down and continue to progress in my daily life, even after my job finished up

What I wish was different

I wish I was more outgoing during the job. I was way more outgoing than I usually am, but I wish I went that extra mile for talking to as many people as possible.

Advice

This was the hardest thing I have done in my life. Living in a cabin in the woods in the hot weather in Maryland really takes a toll on your mental health. The things that helped me were my coworkers who became so of my greatest friends. Every day we would talk about our struggles or just what went wrong in the day. We were there for each other every day.
