Camp Counselor
June 2017 - August 2018 • Worton, MD
What I liked
I love the atmosphere and the learning aspect of being a counselor. I had to do a lot of conflict resolution with both staff and campers. I also loved teaching windsurfing all day everyday.
What I wish was different
I wish the pay was better. For the amount of work and constant stress, the staff should be paid a few dollars more. However, we are provided with food and housing for the entirety of the summer.
Advice
Working at camp tockwogh shows you the magic of helping campers through activities, developing friendships, and having fun without "parental supervision."
