What I liked
I liked how I was able to engage with kids of all ages and learn from as they learned from me as well. I also like do how I gained some new professionalism skills and communication skills as well.
What I wish was different
I wish I took an adavantage of my networking opportunities and also building my relationships stronger with those that I worked with.
Advice
To have patience’s and that not everyone accepts you with open arms when your new to the job so remember to stay confident in whatever field your going into.

Having more inside space. It was hot but we only had one room, which was always reserved for only a specific group of kids.

Be honest with your employers. They are willing to work with you, but if you side swipe them they will not be happy.

I loved interacting with the kids. It was rewarding to be able to make an impact on a child's life, even if it was just for the summer.
What I wish was different
I wished that my hourly pay was higher. I live in Pennsylvania and minumum wage is 7.25, which is what I was paid.
Advice
You never know what's going on in a child's life. They could have experiences that you wouldn't fully understand because you haven't been in their shoes. That's why it's important to treat each child kindly. You could have a positive effect on a child's life that could amount to so much more.
