Software Developer Intern

What I liked

The team is extremely welcoming and accommodating. Everyone is happy to help you and teach you. There is an atmosphere of free and encouraged collaboration and cooperation between all different teams--be it QA, BA, or other dev teams. Management understands and works with the student to handle their schedule and let them prioritize their school work as necessary.

What I wish was different

Faster ramp up period. It took awhile to get set-up and start doing actual work. However, there has been a lot of different changes to process since I was invited on, some of which has helped newer interns.

Advice

Get the most out of it by talking to everyone - and collaborating with everyone. It is a very open environment, and you can learn a lot from the people around you. I think the holistic view of the process of developing a product you receive is really valuable.
