Established in 1969, WYSU-FM is a 50,000-watt public radio station at Youngstown State University serving the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys. An affiliate of National Public Radio (NPR), American Public Media, and Public Radio International, WYSU-FM broadcasts network news and information programming, as well as locally-hosted classical and jazz music programming. All station staff are employees of Youngstown State University. Full-time staff positions are in the areas of administration, development/fundraising, announcing/producing, engineering, Internet technology, and administrative support.
