I liked how hands on the internship was. The interns worked very closely with the Wyndham staff and got to see first hand how a PGA tournament was run. The staff was constantly checking in with everyone to make sure we were doing okay throughout the tournament. Our group of interns also got along very well which made the experience more fun.
What I wish was different
At times the communication on tasks could have been better so things could work more efficiently but overall there isn't much I would change about the experience.
Advice
I would suggest that future interns go in with the mindset that some days will look different from others and require more work. Each day deserves your very best so you can get the most out of the experience. At the beginning of the internship I knew nothing about golf but by the end of the tournament I felt like I had learned so much about the sport in multiple aspects.
