I liked the company and the people in my department. The work was brand new to me and the people were definitely there to help me learn all about the industry.
I loved being in the Pittsburgh office, in the heart of downtown.
My favorite project was collecting and organizing donations for a fundraising raffle.
What I wish was different
I wish there was a more longterm project assignment for me to work on, but the nature of the work didn't really allow for that. So there would be weeks when there was a lot of things to do, and then other weeks where I was hunting down work.
I also wish there had ben more opportunities for me to write and get feedback on my work.
Advice
Spend time getting to know the other people in the office and ask them questions about their work!

Advice
Communicate with your superiors and coworkers about what you’d like to do and see and learn. Ask questions about everything: engineers love to get technical and explain their reasonings. Make connections with your coworkers: even if you don’t want to end up at the company, you’ll need people that think you’re a great worker and bright student to vouch for you down the line. Put real effort into the work your give even if it’s not the most interesting thing. It’s not hard to impress people by simply following directions well and volunteering to help out with any work the office has.
