What I liked
I appreciated the opportunity to gain an in-depth view at the behind-the-scenes workings of nonprofits. As a former participant in WriteGirl, I knew a lot about what kind of work the organization does. This was an invaluable experience because it enabled me to learn about the methods small nonprofits use to acquire funding.
What I wish was different

Be proactive! Proactivity is the difference between your project being shelved or actively used after you leave.
