What I liked

This company is absolutely wonderful to work for. They are flexible if you live anywhere in the US, and my manager is such a pleasant woman, who is easy to learn from, and work with. You can set your own schedule within reason, and they encourage you greatly to put school first. I enjoy the atmosphere with all the Processing department, and the work is always engaging. There is something new to learn every day.

What I wish was different

More opportunities to meet with the greater base of interns.

Advice

Ask to learn new things. Everyone will be happy to teach you.

What I liked

Great company culture, good benefits outside of pay. Friendly work environment where everyone was willing to help.

What I wish was different

More in person work to learn more, and more utilization. There was a lot of down time and I feel like I could've done more.

Advice

It is a great place to work in an accounting role without being required to get your CPA. It is a large and reputable company that will allow you to switch firms with ease.

What I liked

Love the culture at this company. Everyone is so collaborative and helpful even across all different departments. The CEO is very transparent in the company's goals and values making it easy to feel a part of the company even just being an intern.

What I wish was different

I wish that this experience could have been in person.

I think that even if you don't see yourself working in a specific field, I wouldn't rule anything out totally because all experience is valuable.

What I liked

I really enjoyed working with the clients as well as the full-time employees helping to solve their problems. My team was really supportive and my input was valued and used as deliverables. They taught us a lot and shared their experiences inside and outside of the workplace. People are nice and supportive and managers want to see you succeed.

What I wish was different

Advice

My advice would be to connect with as many people within your company as possible. It creates a great network and creates more ease and comfort within the office. I would also recommend requesting frequent feedback so that you know that your work is on point and that you are continuously meeting the standards of your superiors.
