What I liked

I loved working with the dogs, I made sure that they were always clean and had toys and food. They were always comfortable and happy which is how they should always feel when waiting to be adopted, I try to love them as if they were my own pet until someone else does the same for them.

What I wish was different

I wish there were more volunteers, some days get a bit hectic and it would have been nice to have some extra help, otherwise nothing else I would want to change.

Advice

Wear clothes that are comfy and that you are OK with getting dirty

The plethora of hands on experience as well as the patience displayed by the staff when I was learning something new. I also loved making a difference in the lives of shelter animals.
