Windrush Farm

About Windrush Farm

Our mission is to expand and enrich the personal, emotional and physical abilities of all those we serve by partnering with our horses and the environment.

Each year, Windrush provides an array of educational services and therapeutic activities to more than 2,056 children and adults – and their families. Founded in 1964, Windrush Farm was one of the first therapeutic equitation centers in the United States. We serve children and adults with special needs, veterans, youth at risk, victims of human trafficking, patients in rehabilitation and more.

“Despite the current pandemic, my internship with Windrush has given me tons of insight on therapeutic horseback riding and I am learning a lot about it. I have been given very fun and creative projects, including photography, research about therapeutic riding, assisting in making a coloring book to sell to the clients! Everyone there is so nice and welcoming, and is generally a very fun work environment. It has been a great experience for me, and I don’t want it to end. ”
