Whippany Actuation provided me with an amazing learning environment as a rising junior majoring in mechanical engineering. I learned so much about how a product is made- from design, to tooling, manufacture, assembly, and final inspection. I was able to work on real projects and gain an in depth understanding of what it is like to work as a manufacturing engineer.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had some more exposure to the initial design stage of products, although it is more of a design engineer responsibility and not manufacturing.
