Advice
Make sure you enjoy the type of software engineering you apply for. Getting a job/internship is one thing, but enjoying the work is another. Explore a variety of programming projects to get a feel for what works for you and know yourself before applying for a specific job.

The most important thing in life is finding a job that makes you happy. Explore jobs outside of your comfort zone, you'll never know what you'll find. I am a language major yet working on IT was amazing for me, since tech is my hobby.

What I liked
The beauty of the surrounding scenery made it an ideal place to vacation, no less to work. I was able to contribute my skills to (hopefully) better the learning experience of the students simultaneously taking courses that summer.
What I wish was different
There were a couple times I faced breakdowns in communication between me and my superiors, largely of my own fault. On the whole, however, I wouldn't call for any changes.
Advice
Be eager and open to learning from others, be it the professors or the long-term grounds keeper (especially him).

I wish I had been able to know slightly more about what the more difficult or complex jobs were that were given to the full time electricians.
