It was super amazing to see all of the different emergencies that came in. I also had never experienced such a fast paced clinic before, which was kind of nerve-wracking at first, but was super cool. I got to help with several special procedures such as a stomach scope, and that was a very awesome experience.
What I wish was different
Sometimes my hours were a little rough because the clinic is a 24 hour clinic and so I would work until 1am and be decently exhausted.
Advice
If you can get a job at an emergency clinic like this, as a pre-vet student, do it. It was really eye-opening and I would love to go back this next summer if I can.

What I liked
I loved being in a medical setting and learning how to triage. I loved being surrounded by doctors more than willing to teach me about different diseases, medications, and conditions. I also learned how to take vitals. Even though this is VetMed, I feel as though this experience will help me in a clinical setting working with people.
