The people at West Wing Writers are some of the most brilliant, friendly, creative individuals I've ever met. It's an incredible work environment, where interns are entrusted with meaningful and challenging opportunities from day one.
What I wish was different
It's sometimes difficult to gauge how many projects you should take on at once. Since interns have pretty substantial responsibilities, it can be easy to overwhelm yourself and sign up for too many tasks. That being said, don't shy away from challenging yourself!
Advice
Take the time to get to know everyone in the office! The staff really wants the interns to feel included in the firm's culture, and the partners are enthusiastic about meeting interns and helping them figure out next steps.

What I liked
Amazing environment, mentorship and networking opportunities, fulfilling and rewarding work, open and caring climate and culture.
What I wish was different
Unfortunately, because of the confidentiality of the clients, it might be difficult to exhibit a portfolio of your work produced at the firm.
Advice
When you're here, be very intentional about asking people to coffee and learning more about the paths they took to get where they are at West Wing Writers. The people at WWW are some of the most talented, interesting people in politics - and also some of the friendliest! - so take advantage of the time you have in the office to get to know them.
