What I liked

EVERYTHING! Easily the best internship I've ever been a part of. The hands-on experience was incredible; I was out on my own in the field filming my own stories and broadcasting them myself. By the end of the internship, I was filming, writing, editing, and reading my own highlights live on air. The people were also so helpful, and really cared about what I was gaining from this experience.

What I wish was different

One thing that I would change is that I wish I had the opportunity to anchor the sports segment more. I only was able to that a couple of times, and wish I had more to add to my reporter reel.

Advice

That it's okay to go out of your comfort zone! So many people have asked me how I'm comfortable talking in front of camera, especially live, and even interviewing strangers, and at first I definitely was not. It took time to get comfortable doing all of this stuff, but once I had enough practice, I loved it!
