i liked most the quick preparations made by the Warner Robins Air Force Base this summer. They accommodated all their interns for a safe and successful in person experience during a time of pandemic where most internships became cancelled.
What I wish was different
I wish the interns had the ability to choose what department of the base they worked for. All interns were randomly selected to the department/job they worked for without a choice of where we wanted to go.
Advice
My piece of advice is to never judge a book by its cover. Before I started working this summer, I thought since it was an Air Force base, our work and workplace culture would be more military driven but it ended up being very different from that. The people I met and the work I did reflected on not just military backgrounds but expanded way beyond that.
