I really enjoyed learning not only about pressure sensitive adhesives, but about Chinese work culture as well. It was a worthwhile experience to see how the East operates versus the West.
What I wish was different
I wish I had the opportunity to have a longer internship. This way, I would have been able to go through multiple rotations and gotten a better understanding of the various roles the company has to offer.
Advice
If an American wanted to have the same experience I did, I would suggest a lot of patience. Things work very differently in the East, which can be a huge culture shock for someone who hasn't been outside their own country. A bit of patience, understanding, and willingness to learn can go a long way.
