I loved everything about my experience! Everyone I shadowed was very helpful with showing me how to do certain tasks, from drawing blood, to placing a IV catheter and even restraining a fractious cat. If there was an opportunity for me to improve on my technical skills, I was able to do so.
What I wish was different

Advice
Emergency medicine is not for everyone. You need to be able to work long hours on your feet, be able to think quickly, have a strong stomach (lots of blood and different smells), and be a team player!
