Great involvement from everyone in the company to ensure I had a great experience. Learned from many different people on how the aggregate industry works and how to be successful and stay safe.

I wish I could have experienced a few different areas of the quarry, I was in the plant the majority of the time

Learn as much as you can and make a good impression and connections, work hard and they will keep you around and take care of you.

What I liked
I was able to rotate through all the different departments. I loved that I got exposed to all different aspects and wasn't stuck driving a haul truck all summer.
What I wish was different
I wish I had gotten a bit more time working with management.
Advice
Take everything with a grain of salt. Just because you might be doing something as an intern that you would never do once you were a fulltime employee doesn't mean you cant learn something that might be useful in the future.

Would have liked to have done more equipment maitinence and seen more project planning

A more organized internship program to actually learn all the aspects that go into the ready mix operations more in depth.
Advice
They don’t have a set organized program, so when you’re around those knowledgeable of the product, ask a lot of questions to learn anything.
