I liked that the team I worked with was smaller and tight knit so I really got to know everyone. Since it was a smaller team I was also invited to sit in on all the meetings so I really learned how my department functioned.
What I wish was different
I wish that it had been more structured and that I was given a long term project that I could own and that I could work on for the entire course on my internship.
Advice
You need to take initiative and that means taking on new work and even creating your own projects.
