I was the safety presence for the manufacturing production employees. Creating relationships with the employees was a great experience, and they were grateful to have someone concerned with safety as well.
There was a great deal of learning opportunity for me.
What I wish was different
For the majority of my internship I drove the learning process. There were some wonderful mentoring opportunities for me, but I was mostly working autonomously with little support for change.
Advice
When it comes to processes and their improvement. Try to think like Doctor Bob and his alcoholics, "progress not perfection".
