I enjoy making a difference for the consumers that I serve. Seeing them progress and live happy lives is my favorite part of my job.
What I wish was different
I wish that RSA’s had more support/authority to make decisions regarding our consumers. Considering we work closely with them on a daily basis, I think we know best regarding what they need.
Advice
Direct care can be difficult at times, but seeing the difference one positive influence can make is one of the reasons I enjoy working with individuals with disabilities.
