The wonderful and kind staff who really care about the organization that the work for.
What I wish was different
The interns are all in one back room together, which can be both good and bad. It's nice to bond with other interns, but you really have to push yourself to develop relationships with higher up staff.
Advice
Seek out opportunities and ask for more work! There is always something to be done and the staff really value it when you put yourself out there.

What I liked
Vital Voices was one of the best experiences. The team I worked with was so supportive and helpful. I really enjoyed the company culture. Everyone in the office is friendly and open. The CEO even makes you feel apart of the organization and welcome. It has a great message and mission. I got so much knowledge about the development field in non profits from my experience at Vital Voices.
What I wish was different
I would like to have been paid.
Advice
Keep an open mind and make sure you are passionate about your internship.
