Had more clients and hours and just communicate more with them.

Advice

Being a certified nurse assistant allowed me to get one step closer to what I plan to do in the future of public health.

What I liked

Visiting Angels was easy to work with and had my back in case anything went wrong in communication with the families in the homes. Additionally, it gve me great experience with communicating with families, caring for clients on a one-on-one level, and helping Visiting Angels with status of the client.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have been able to do a bit more, as I felt limited with some of the assignments that I had.

Advice

It is worth doing home health care. It teaches you about the value of care, and how important the little things are. If you are wanting to be in health care and cannot get a job at the hospital during the summer, it is good to keep you in the rhythm and practice how you want to give care.
