Quantitative Trader Intern

June - August 2020 • New York City, NY

What I liked

It was a very dynamic job that challenged me and pushed me to grow my technical skills and intuition about the financial markets. Projects were just like the sort of work done full time and had real potential to generate PnL.

What I wish was different

I wish the internship had been in person, but props to the company on not cancelling and delivering a solid online program.

Advice

Be prepared to learn a lot and work hard. Ask lots of questions! There's no such thing as a dumb question when the problems you are working on are hard problems.

Financial Accounting Internship

June 2018 • New York City, NY

What I liked

It was a great work atmosphere. Further, the company was very flexible with my hours, allowing me to choose my own hours to work.

What I wish was different

After being there for such a long time, there are not many new things to learn.

Advice

By networking with a classmate, I was able to get this position as a Freshman at Saint Peter's. Do not limit networking to professional events. You never know what opportunities you can find through professors and even fellow classmates.
