I loved the collaboration between within departments at Virginia ABC headquarters. I learned about the inner workings of making a large scale business run efficiently. My staff was super welcoming and trusted me with assignments
What I wish was different
I wish I could have had more chances to get to know the other interns just for my own personal network. It would’ve been fun to work with them as well.
Advice
My advice would be to encourage you to not be afraid of asking to take on more. It’s good to be passionate about your work and take initiative to create new tasks or projects which helps both yourself as well as your employer. Employers appreciate initiative and it allows you to build experiences for further job searching
