Good opportunity to learn about how municipal government works. Great experience in an office environment and friendly coworkers. Working for the Clerk/Treasurer department I learned a lot about how elections are run on a municipal level which has been very interesting.
What I wish was different
Better communication with different departments.
Advice
Depending on the time of year, the Clerk/Treasurer's office can be either really busy or really slow. Slow days can get boring, but busy days can be exciting and fun. The Clerk/Treasurer also works with the public which has its benefits and drawbacks.

I did a lot of work that other people deemed not worth their time. That wasn’t great.

Be open to going outside of your comfort zone when asked to do tasks that you haven’t done before.
