I loved getting the experience of what it's like to be a counselor! The people were friendly and helpful, and went our of their way to help me learn. It was a great internship.
What I wish was different
It was an unpaid internship, which I totally understand. It was still a great experience.
Advice
I would tell interns to get the most out of their experience they could. Regardless of whether or not it's paid, they should use the internship to understand as much as they can what their future job might be like, and if it's a good fit. Taking the time to really connect with your summer internship can teach you a lot about your interests and what your future could look like.
