What I liked
I loved the team I worked with and experiencing all the different farms. It was also such a good feeling knowing that everything I was doing in gleaning was helping the farmers and people around Chittenden County who lack the resources to afford healthy, local food.
So many of the people I met during this internship, whether they were Foodbank staff, interns, volunteers, or Foodbank partner organizations, were some of the nicest people I've ever met. The community members I was able to serve were also extremely grateful for what the Foodbank does and excited about the free, fresh and local produce. It has just been such an incredible experience.
