The job was very independent, allowed me to embark on my own research project and use my time how I wanted.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more of a business aspect of the internship, its mostly just sitting at a boat landing checking boats for invasive species. We had monthly meetings to connect with our peers, and we lived in groups of 5 so it was sometimes hectic.
Advice
There will be many angry boaters trying to get on the water, some days you will be stressed to your limit, other days you'll have a breeze. Be ready to spend a lot of time entering data into SWIMS database.
