My boss and PI fielded all of my questions and encourage them to enhance my learning. Everybody was very friendly and willing to teach new skills and share expertise and educational paths.
What I wish was different
I wish we had been in the field as much as I was told we would be. COVID was partly responsible for this, as I think my bosses would have wanted to be in the field more as well.
Advice
Take every opportunity to ask those above you about their life experience! They all come from different backgrounds and have different research interests.
