Getting to learn more in-depth about Southeast Asia, particularly their economy and how US businesses interact with it.
What I wish was different
As an unpaid intern, I wish I were given greater responsibilities re. projects and programming. However, although I was not offered more responsibilities upfront, when I asked for more, I was given them.
Advice
Being self-motivated/a self-starter will get you further as an intern with the Council. They really value being able to work efficiently with minimal supervision, as well as being a positive energy around the office.
