Mechanical Engineering Intern
July - August 2018 • Aberdeen, MD
What I liked
I gained real life experience with structural analysis through MATLAB. I also had the opportunity to observe a variety of military tests ranging from materials testing to machine failure testing.
What I wish was different
I wish I was out in the field more, I sat in an office for the majority of the internship.
Advice
If someone got an internship at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, they should talk to their mentor/supervisor to try to get out and observe as many tests as they can, as there are quite a few experiments going on every day.
