The Upward Bound Math/Science program (UBMS) at Frostburg State University is a FREE, YEAR-ROUND program that helps students develop academic skills, college and career readiness, and the soft skills necessary to excel in high school, college, and beyond! Our program is designed to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science, encourage them to pursue postsecondary degrees, and, ultimately, careers in STEM professions. UBMS staff ensures students are supported in all steps of their journey! UBMS is a federally-funded grant program through the U.S. Department of Education. While at FSU, students also participate in a variety of activities designed to promote strong study skills, and positive social behaviors, as well as activities that provide recreational and cultural experiences.
