Upward Bound is a federally funded pre-college program for students from households of modest financial means and/or potential first-generation college graduates. The program is designed to assist and motivate students while in high school and to prepare them for success at the college level. Upward Bound requires a substantial commitment by students, in both time and effort. Students dedicate up to six weeks each summer and twelve Saturdays during the academic year.
