What I liked

I worked mostly with people my age.

What I wish was different

That they would have been upfront that it wasn’t actually an internship and it was just a sales job (selling in a Sam’s club).

Advice

Since this company is closed, the owner has a new company called Global Compass Concepts. If you are a people person and like to do sales (in a Sams club) then this is the job for you.

What I liked

There is plenty of room to move up in this company and make a living from it.

What I wish was different

They were not honest at all during the interview process. They describe the positions as a marketing internship where you will be in the office for half of the time, and then in retailers the other half of the time "helping with marketing". In actuality, the entire time you will be in stores bothering strangers to switch their energy provider. Very unorganized business that gives a bad feeling all around.

Advice

I would recommend to not pursue this company. During my week here before quitting, there were 4 other employees that felt mislead and resigned along with me. If you are a college student looking for summer work or an internship, stay away.

What I liked

Potential for growth if you're very sales oriented

What I wish was different

Job is standing in a retail store for hours of your day trying to sell to people. This isn't described well by the job description or during the interview. The lack of transparency is unsettling. I asked specific questions on the phone before my interview, and asked them again the next day during my interview and found that I was completely lied to. All jobs in the company are exactly the same, entry level sales (standing in a retail location all day) and you have the potential to work your way up to eventually owning your own branch, if that is what you're interested in.

Advice

Even if I had been interested in this job after finding out the truth, I did not appreciate being blatantly lied to by a company. It felt unprofessional. I mentioned another company during my interview and they told me they were "secret shopping" that company by sending one of their employees for an interview, again extremely unprofessional.
