What I liked

I loved being around the children and playing/taking care of them during the day. I've also made many friends among my coworkers.

What I wish was different

More staff! I was very stressed this summer and hoping for time off for vacation, but there weren't enough people working so it was difficult to find subs, making less people take time off during the summer.

Advice

This job requires a lot of patience, responsibility, and team work. I love coming and working with my coworkers, who are now my friends, but if you are someone who enjoys working alone, this may not be the job for you. You also need a lot of patience when working with children! Working with children can be difficult at times, they don't always listen to you or follow directions, so you need a lot of patience.

always show up and put the right amount of effort into what you do. Just because the staff and boss are kind and flexible doesn't mean you shouldn't get your work done and done right.
