The community within the office has been very welcoming and open to giving feedback, which has been very useful as we navigate new challenges that naturally arise when providing academic advising. The management is phenomenal, and the work overall has been really rewarding.
What I wish was different
I wish the physical office spaces and resources available for the peer advisors was better (better computers, enough for each of us, etc.), but this is a fairly new program so that isn't too unsurprising. Moreover, receiving access to these things does not seem at all impossible or unlikely gauging from the management's response.
Advice
Go into it with an open mind for learning, it will polish up your intuition and problem-solving skills if you let it. It is a very rewarding job and phenomenal office to be a part of.
