Great collaborative work environment which consistently seeks to improve data collection and areas for research, inviting research assistants to give input on the direction and scope of the work. Very rewarding experience as well to help inform public policy decisions at the local, state, and national level by producing deliverables for Department of Education.
What I wish was different
I wish we had a bit more time in between coding for before switching areas of research, however it is a rapid response database so the work is meant to be fast-paced.
Advice
Be curious about the data and information you come across and always have a critical eye. Also, be prepared to hit the ground running and get ahead of the work as soon as possible.
