I wish I had the opportunity to work an a wider variety of projects in order to learn more about my own professional interests and strengths.

Policy Innovation Fellow
January 2020 • Salt Lake City, UT
What I liked
Sorenson has been the most rewarding experience of my undergraduate career. I started this year unsure of whether I wanted to go into industry or research, and with little hands on experience, and I'm graduating this December fully aware of what I want to do. Sorenson has helped me identify my passions, the career I want, and how to get there.
What I wish was different
Nothing!
Advice
It's really up to you to decide how Sorenson will affect you. If all you want is something to pad your resume then it'll be a fine experience, but if you actually get involved and passionate about your projects you'll realize that the Center is made up of a network of people just waiting to help you grow.

What I liked
I love working in teams and being able to research real companies and make real investment decisions! I really like being able to get industry experience (in Finance) so that I can build my skills and resume.
What I wish was different
I wish I had taken advantage of this opportunity earlier.
Advice
I would encourage anyone interested in investing to apply to this experience. It is rigorous but extremely satisfying. I find it is far more valuable then getting paid.
