What I liked
The opportunity to welcome new students to our campus, and help them become Integrated into Pacific life.
What I wish was different
Honestly, nothing job wise. There were some hiccups but we're not related to the job itself. More of the campus communication between departments. But overcoming unexpected obstacles are a part of every job. You just have to overcome them and adapt. That shows flexibility and leadership.
Advice
It is amazingly rewarding and fun. But it is also a true leadership role. It may be a short period of time, but you uphold the departmenta representation and remodeling even after your time is completed.

What I liked
The environment was very friendly and positive. There were specific and detailed instructions given to us to prep us for the job. The job was well organized and fun!
What I wish was different
Since it was virtual, it was hard to reach out to someone if I experienced internet problems, but the staff tried their best communicating by using the GroupMe app.
Advice
Make sure you take clear and thorough notes from the training meetings so you know what to present and talk about to your assigned group. Make sure you are friendly and passionate about UOP as you will be hyping up incoming freshman, who may be unsure of what to expect.
